Jump to postAirports, roadways, and government buildings should not be named for politicians. I have said it numerous times, they should be named after a serviceman who died in battle, defending the United States.

Jump to post"AA JFK-LAS FEB 1.2>0[1.9]"
Is this a permanent cut, or a temporary/seasonal cut?
You have to wonder how much longer AA can hold out in NY? Even LGA is seeing cuts. If I was WN or B6 I would be calling AA about an NYC asset sale. AA did a real hack job on JFK flights! By my little calculations, this update shows AA down approximately 15 flights at JFK from a year ago, (not month...
Jump to post"KE ICN-LAX MAY 2>3[2] JUN 2>3[2] JUL 2>3[2] AUG 2>3[2]" Looks like KE is starting a third flight on this route. Not sure if this is year round, or seasonal. Is this because of the new JV with DL,.or is it a preemptive move to make sure possibly AA does not start the route? Or both?

Jump to postDecember JFK goes down from 109 average daily flights to only 76 average. It's not just the holiday period that got whacked. For example, the first Thursday of the month December 6th went from 109 departures to 73. It’s worth noting that AA further cut PHL in the winter. I haven’t looked for upgaug...
Jump to postSo many people complaining about JFK cuts and no one addressing the fact that they are in a permanent and unaddressable #3 spot due to slots and airspace. How do you propose they get to profitability? It seems you all want a return to status quo where AA lost money just because "the market is ...
Jump to postHere is what I'm sure everyone at AA management knows, but won't tell their NYC crew. All those high value customers have moved to DL. They aren't coming back unless DL starts cutting routes or product. And that clearly isn't happening. Without those ff, DL will continue to eat their lunch in NYC. ...

I’ve never understood two things about ATL. 1. Why were A-D not designed the same width? I get that they served different purposes at the time but there seems to have been no forethought as to future growth 2. The simplicity of ATL’s A-D parallel concourses design was great. Why was it not carried ...
Jump to postDon’t forget boys and girls, the current Atlanta airport was designed in a different era, like a lot of America’s airports. A, B, and C, were designed by Delta and Eastern. DL is weird in that there's a internal announcement but NO press release. I'd thought this would be confirmed with a press release by now. I doubt if they will do a public press release on all of this, until the DOT gives final approval of the Haneda slots. That must be coming anytime, or they woul...

Maybe it is that a lot of the traffic between South Florida and AZ is based in Broward County. I know when I lived in South Florida for three years, I avoided Miami airport at all costs. I flew out of FLL, even if it meant connecting, versus a non-stop option out of Miami. Most of my colleagues did...

The best example I can give you on this is as follows..... I have flown Delta most of my career. (retired now). I flew AA at times, when they were more convenient. Jump to postAt this point, DL's reputation has been so polished for a while that it can price themselves above the competition. Delta has ~3,800 flights a day that don't start or end in ATL. Command of fact is useful. Don't forget, just because a lot of the flights don't start or end in Atlanta, a LOT of those flights have to GET their aircraft earlier in the day, from Atlanta. AA is saying/asking that they want their dormant routes held until next fall 2019. This is Delta's way of saying, either fly them by the fall or 2019, or we want them. Nothing more!
