Re: Airbus Looking for Potential Delivery Spots for United

Shocking. I expected a smaller order for three dozen A321s. I guess that figure includes options and maybe the A350 well beyond this decade. Having Airbus buy back 200 delivery slots must be pricey, Kirby must be forking over a lot of cash. Given that UA among other airlines managed to force a lead...

In this Reuters article, a possible 200-plane deal with Airbus was mentioned. Remember Boeing took a sniff at the CSeries and walked away? This is part of the smell they got. Sidestick anyone? A similar instance had occurred on an RAF A330 MRTT where a camera was accidentally pushed on the sidestick. It could be far less likely for anyone to notice things next to a sidestick compared to a centre yoke. https://livingsafelywithhumanerror.wordpress.com/2018/04/25/loss-of-c...

I think that as the 78X is improved, with higher MTOWs, it will become a more attractive aircraft. Remember when the first A330-300s came out in the mid 1990s and their MTOW was about 211t; at the end of its production run, the last ones (ironically, also delivered to EI, which was the first airlin...

That was funny. The aerodynamics of the Md90 just lends itself better to their experiment. I wonder if the remedy for this will be the installation of an alerting system on door plugs similar to those used on exit doors.
