Re: Why no JFK/LGA-BDL service?

The problem with rail is it requires 2 transfers generally. Driving from the Hartford area to the NYC airports is generally awful too with traffic, making it a 3+ hour drive. Not to mention parking around the NYC airports being exorbitantly expensive. I've taken BDL-EWR several times on an A320 and...

WN is kind of thin with Bay Area long haul/transcon flights. As NK cuts OAK-BWI, WN is suspending OAK-EWR at the end of the year too. WN's OAK-CMH is another route that went seasonal, but I recall flying BWI-CMH-OAK in Feb 2016, and as a BWI originating pax supported the CMH-OAK leg because the sing...

I've looked up Q4 2017 yields for several routes where NK competes against B6 out of both MCO/FLL (BWI/EWR/PVD/BDL/BOS/SJU). I can tell you without a doubt that NK performs better out of MCO in all of them. And, the fare premium that B6 has over NK is greater out of FLL in all of them. And the diff...

I'd bet GSO's bleed is more to RDU than to CLT, at least for Florida, and NK in GSO has to stop some bleed at RDU more than CLT. RDU is a lot closer, and there were traditionally low fares out of RDU because of the sizeable WN presence and B6. At CLT, it's largely fortress hub fares from AA especial...

Glad to see Spirit in here. Will be interesting to see how Allegiant reacts. I bet they just pull out and surrender to Spirit with Concord being as close as it is to GSO. I personally think that expansion at CVG is going to slow to a crawl for F9. As predicted when WN first arrived at CVG, I think WN is going to take over F9's current role at CVG. DL flies DTW-JAX. They still fly SRQ too but only weekends during the winter months.
