You are correct. Nevertheless, AF KLM is a company governed by the French law headquartered in France.

The new junction building set to open in 2019 should take some of the load off terminals Sud and Ouest. I wonder if they will have a centralized security check area, freeing up space for the gate lounges in both terminals. Unless they build more retail space instead! There is a video explaining how...

The fact that politics has a say in AF-KLM is what makes the company what it is now. It makes the employees feel the company cannot fall and therefore make ridiculous demands. I think the main focus will be to modernize the today underused T1 before building a new terminal. It is not like the airport lack gates right now. With just the existing terminals the airport could handle over 90 million passengers, so it is more a question of just modernizing existing facilities....
