If this is how United treat their passengers - I'm glad I no longer fly their friendly(?) skies. But Delta no better when it comes to overbooking (BA and others do the same - and AC had a similar incident recently). Others have said this shouldn't have escalated this way and that's true. Having traveled on both airlines - this is AC culture v Westjet culture. WJ is customer oriented just as the old CP Air culture put customer first.Some AC people came from that merger and they shine! WJ allow their people to think outside the envelope.
