UA hasn't taken advantage of the increased efficiency of the 789 or the smaller size of the 788 to add long-haul routes from DEN. If 'hot and high' was not a factor I suspect we would be seeing Emirates launch a non-stop flight as part of the partnership with United but all things considered, I don't see it making sense to launch at this point. I see no reason why the 772A's wouldn't get repainted. They were just retrofitted with new lay-flat seats and 10 abreast in economy for longer domestic runs. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
