Re: Why didn't Boeing create a 318/319/320/321 series?

Given the ops advantages of common ATP ratings for the Airbus 318/319/320/321, how did Boeing not see that opportunity for the 737 family, esp. with so much collaboration between B and the NLCs? 737-600 is the A318 737-700 is the A319 737-800 is the A320 737-900/900ER is the A321 So uh, what exactl...

I've been interested at looking at Delta's A330 fleet lately. I'm pretty sure all of them were once part of Northwest because the last two letters of their registration are "NW." I knew Northwest chose the Pratt and Whitney PW4000 for their A330 fleet and I do see Delta A330s with the Pra...

As it stands now, 1403 will retire late May, 1404 in October, and 1401-2 in December, will be interesting what will happen to some of those "long-ish" domestic routes (SLC-HNL, ATL-ANC) and the high volume winter routes (MSP-MCO/PHX) going forward. SLC-HNL could potentially be rotated wit...

Re: Delta Reviewing Airbus Widebody Purchase in blow to Airbus

There's a lot of focus on the A350, but I think the A330neo is the biggest risk at Delta. The outlook for the program isn't great, with lessors struggling to place airplanes and threatening to cancel their orders. Internally DL has said the 350 can't do LAX-SYD. So chill. DL must have some weird requirements if they don't think the A350 can do LAX-SYD (6507nm) when it's already flying SIN-SFO (7339nm).
