Re: Will DL or SY order Boeing 737 MAX aircraft?

I could see Delta replacing 737-800's in about 10 years with either the 737-8 or a combination of 321 and CS300. Southwest was the launch customer for the 737NG. Its first deliveries came in Dec. 1997. It's going to start retirements in 2022. AA's oldest 738s date from 2/1999. It's going to start r...

Re: Delta A350 New Routes: ATL-NRT, DTW-FRA

It would be nice to see some A350s on some routes that have a high-density/business traveler appeal, such as ATL-LHR and ATL-AMS. I sure hope Delta follows through with the full 25 they ordered! Why would delta put a higher cost airplane on a route like ATL-LHR when the 330 can do it easily? Revenu...

Re: Will DL or SY order Boeing 737 MAX aircraft?

I see Delta transitioning to an all-Airbus fleet down the line, making the chances that they order the MAX nearly none. The remaining 739s in order may be their last Boeing order. Re: DL to add new routes after agreement with ME3

DL doesn't have the aircraft to be adding any substantial long haul flying, their fleet is stretched to the max with the busy summer flying season and will only get worse as the widebody fleet is going to actually be shrinking short-term, not growing. I too will believe it when I see it. Jeremy For...

As soon as CFM/GE is willing to make a MRO deal with TechOps, Delta will order the 73M.

If they continue to be stubborn and insist that they do the work (and Pratt is willing hand over the revenue from the GTF) I'd expect more 320N orders

I’d be shocked if Delta adds another A350-900 TATL flight. The sole A350-900 DTW-AMS exists to achieve better utilisation on the aircraft flying DTW-NRT/PEK, so they don’t have to sit on the ground for 18+ hours. Right. All sorts of things change in the airline biz in just a year or two. Why do they do this? There must be some rationale. It wipes out the performance history of Delta Connection carriers' routes and flight numbers, and lets them start over.
