B6 COULD add DTW-JFK, but they won't. They MIGHT add DTW-MCO, but I'm not holding my breath. DTW is becoming a station where B6 has to push a boulder up hill. BOS isn't performing all that well either. The only reason they keep it is EK connections. You bet once DTW gets EK, B6 is out.

As I said in other forums about NK, you have to pick your poison. To be honest, I'd much rather see NK and DL go at it as opposed to watching 5 airlines offer the same product at a premium price. Let's hope Delta doesn't start DTW-DUB we don't want anything getting in the way of EI entering the Detroit market. That fact of the matter is that Detroit is way better positioned to field connections from the USA to Europe than Atlanta is there is a lot more backtracking going from ATL to Europe ...

There's a couple of domestic 76W runs between DTW and ATL on October 15th and 27th and a domestic 332 run on October 27th. Domestic 333 MSP on Nov 15. Oct 7 is a domestic 76W to SFO & SEA.

E7W will make an appearance on the DTW-BHM/GRR/GSO routes for the first week of November.

Ok, from a source that asked not to be named showed me some data. Brazilians living in the Detroit MSA is less than 1%. This subject became irrelevant. We can close this down since my original post made no sense and there is no public data to back this up.

DL DTW-JAX MAR 2.0>1.0[1.0]

Look at Delta being very generous to Spirit. Keep flying a once daily CR9 with a horrible flight schedule compared to a well timed and very dense A320.

Kind of looking at it here, VS has a plane at idle after ending DXB. I guess there's potential they'll resume VS at DTW to up play BA. They know they could potentially take away from PIT's BA flight by using the VS brand with a connection in DTW.

WW came in and is doing well with London. DL probably thinks they won't win WOW passengers so take as many premium pax away to deter BA. Either way, the IAG will be here by 2020 whether it's on EI to DUB, BA to LHR, or Level to BCN or LGW.

Anyhow, this route was a blindside add. I wonder what the contributing factor was that made DL want to do DTW-HNL as opposed to DTW-ANC, which is the 2nd largest market from DTW in the 50.

I wouldn't rule out SRQ being the next Florida station that NK opens, followed by VPS or PNS. The ORD-JAX flight is a home run. There's enough room for NK in the DTW-JAX market. If anything, this will hurt the DTW-ATL-JAX segment on DL which is generally cheaper than the actual nonstop.
