It indicates that Alitalia's struggle apparently plays a role in the formation of this alliance... Note, this is Reuters article. I'm sure the Times will we...Jump to post
In don't think this is possible as presented in the press release. DL already ownes 49% of VS, thus reaching the maximum allowed ownership under EU rules. Then DL cannot own more of VS indirectly via AF/KL. :? This makes total sense and a logical next step would be for VS to become a member of SkyT...Jump to post

[photoid][/photoid] I'll be there in a few weeks and booked a flight that gave me extra time so I can roam around for a few hours. I can hardly wait. T3 is really not worth the wait...but T2 is fairly comfortable, modern terminal. Thanks for the tip. I'm going to take plenty of pictures so I can to ...Jump to post
That makes ZERO sense. As individuals, we are not running a business that the primary objective is to move paying passengers from one place to another. G4 IS. They are an airline and people expect to go from point A to point B and then back to point A in a timely manner as contracted. OK, let's req...Jump to post

You keep a spare car?
Why can't they call Omni International or Miami Air or Charter Flights to bring LAS pax to OKC than stranded in LAS? How stupid it is? Q This is Allegiant we're talking about...they (and NK) are the dregs of the industry in the US when it comes to taking care of their customers during irrops. It mu...Jump to post
It's awesome seeing the people discussing the Marine Air Terminal after I just had a Conference Call about the changes coming this fall at work lol. Someone hit the nail on the head already about who is getting the MAT. Okay, so Delta gets 37 gates with the redevelopment. Is that more or less than ...Jump to post
About what you'd expect. Thanks for the pictures and I hope you did well in Sin City!Jump to post
Couldn't they at least find a spare somewhere in the system to get those people out? Well with half their MD80's on the ground broken and the others held together by glue and tape, the couple 757's held together by string, and their A319/A320's operating at 110% of their schedules, I'd say no. Not ...Jump to post

I've always thought DL could turn MSY into a focus city, but not quite a hub. Maybe an RDU-like operation? It could connect Louisiana and Texas travelers with major cities in Florida, and vice versa without having to have to transit through ATL. Heavy O/D routes could be added to make it work. For i...Jump to post

So much for new material on SNL. Darn. I cannot WAIT for South Park to come back. This is a national situation, we need all hands on deck to help with critical satire duties. I understand that South Park will not feature Trump in the upcomming season. One of the principles said he was tired of look...Jump to post
Check out this site. https://sites.google.com/site/newamericanfleet/ Don't know how up to date it is, but seems like it's regularly maintained. Showing 91% repainted, but the Super 80s aren't getting new paint, so it's really 94% repainted if you take out the Super 80s. Thanks for the link. It's no...Jump to post

If it meets other carrier's requirement, no problem. Otherwise, there will be an additional charge. I doubt they'll change their policies.Jump to post
Looks like you circled over three states during the holding pattern - Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Just curious, which carrier operated the CR2? And, I loved the BA plane with the oneworld livery. Great trip report and thanks for all the pictures!Jump to post

From the article: Though Virgin took delivery of a trio of new Airbus A320 aircraft, it also warned that the average age of the Airbus A320 jets in its fleet was 6.3 years, and those aircraft were starting to need more "scheduled and unscheduled maintenance" as they get older. You might get a refurbished 744 with a better screen, ports, power, etc. I've flown the BA 744 many times in all cabins and it's overall a comfortable ride. Plus the flight to BOS is not that long so it shouldn't be too much of a pain. I had to fly the Virgin 789 to SFO earlier this year in Y and i...Jump to post

Delta. Keep the tail but change the fuselage. Keep the fuselage, but change the tail! I loved the old wavy gravy. The CEO may have been an SOB, but the tail looked great, very distinctive. Aeroflot comes close, but Delta was classier. Sure, the wavy gravy looked good. But, from a branding perspecti...Jump to post
With today's F9 announcements, RDU is up to 50 destinations. They also knock off PVD and MCI from their wish list. That was quite a large glass of Merlot! My favorite. I noticed the AS Plane had "Proudly All Boeing" on it. I wonder if that's going to have to come off at some point. Was the B737-900ER as bad as it's made out to be?
Great report, and thanks for posting all the pictures.
Once upon a time, I was a corporate human resources executive based in London. I had to fly to the U.S. monthly (two sites) as well as offices in China, South Africa, Switzerland, France, and Canada. Oh my, did I rack up the miles!Jump to post
