Re: More Screens, More Choices: Delta Equips 600th Aircraft With Seatback Entertainment

Let me get this straight: DL is choosing to give their customers a better experience and some are knocking them for it? For as much as many complain about how modern air travel stinks compared to 'how it used to be', you'd think that everyone would be happy about DL's attempt... The stupidity of th...

A220-100 is the best replacement. It has the same 2-3 layout and the same certified capacity, so it should match configurations better. Plus it offers better fuel efficiency and range. Otherwise airlines have the E195-E2 option.

Instead of buying old planes from dodgy countries/brokers, maybe they just can kick out those evil Ayatollahs, become a democracy and problem solved. Delta will probably wait for the MoM/797 if Boeing decide to stop messing around and actually get around to launching it. Besides their 767s are much younger than the 75s, and with the A321neo coming in I assume non-TATL 757s are covered.

I could see them going for a combo of all 787 variants considering the 789 is smaller than the 77E, and more like an A330, while the 78J has the ideal capacity (then again my judgement isn't the best since anytime I hear replacement I say 35K or 78J). I always thought the 787 was a better fit for HA than the neo. Then again this means that the 338 will be unplugged and killed. A combo of the 788 and 789 would be the best, and the latter could fly to Europe non-stop, but if they could find a market for the 78K that would be amazing!
