Despite it being very basic I will miss the 1984 QF livery, I grew up around it and whilst the current logo still has the same basic jist to it it just isnt the same.

BA's landor livery was a classic too.

Having flown PER-SYD regularly since I was little I have grown to call anything shorter than 4 hours "short haul", 4-8 hours "medium haul", 8-15 hours "long haul".

Personally I would refuse to take it for medium-long haul, but anything less than 2 hours and I wouldn't throw it off the table, I am curious to see how it actually feels though.

Earphones, Phone (prefferably offline, but for music, time etc.), GoPro (or any camera) to record takeoff/landing, bottled water or juice and a bag of chips.

If flight is 6+ hours i'll bring a change of shirt, toothbrush, blanket and a pillow.

I have never booked an entire trip for a unique aircraft but I have adjusted a couple flights when given the oppourtity.

In 2016 I spent a little more to fly SQ (over Scoot) between HKG-SIN to log my first a380 and last year I took a slightly earlier flight between SYD-CBR to log a QF 717.

I think a Qantas/Comair codeshare would be the best short term solution for them to access Cape Town, along with other cities in southern Africa like Harare, Durban, Windhoek etc.

With QF constantly expanding to the US i'd be curious to know if 787 flights between ADL-LAX running 3x a week or so on a MEL-ADL-LAX type rotation could be viable, I doubt it would be given priority over the SYD/BNE-ORD plans at the moment but it'd be interesting to know if management has considere...

I wonder if QF have looked into starting BNE-SFO-YVR (or simply extending an existing flight), it would be an easy way to access YVR year-round, and QF do have the 5th freedom rights.

I travel the Perth to Sydney route about 2 to 3 times a year and a consequence of this is me racking up a fair amount of A330 flights. As of today my most recent domestic A330 route was SYD-PER on VH-EBO in July.
