Perhaps the new CEO will come to realise that the current VA international network is all for looks and glamour, and will cut back and use the global partners , concentrate on Aus domestic and Trans Tasman routes which is about all they really need. They will never be a big player in Asia or the Nth...

Just another reason to avoid Emirates. On the news this morning it said it would make flights faster, I assume there is some airflow interruption from the breaks in the fuselage , but the difference would be minimal.

QF2 departed London at 16.05 GMT on 28th . Delayed from its normal departure on 27th @ 21.15. Any ideas ? I do not know, sorry. I understand slots are a hot commodity at LHR, how do they manage a big delay like this? Pay a penalty? Trade with another airline? Handful in reserve held by the airport ...

Has QF caught the Basic Economy and 'Buy-on-Board' bug?
