noticed of flight radar that QF81 is being flown buy the 380 between 5th -13th July inclusive, is this due to shortage of 330's due mx etc. or a boost for school holiday traffic ?

QF1 for 2nd July sched' at 15.55 departed Syd this morning at 08.36. lengthy delay indeed, wonder if and how many pax got transferred to EK and BA yesterday. If that was at all possible

A few months back cabin crew told me that QF51/52 would be going back to 744, so maybe they could go that way and put the 330 back into domestic ops / Per- Sin

QF 52 to MEL
EK434 to MEL
Domestic flights from DRW PER etc diverted to TVL , OLL

Perhaps the new CEO will come to realise that the current VA international network is all for looks and glamour, and will cut back and use the global partners , concentrate on Aus domestic and Trans Tasman routes which is about all they really need. Just another reason to avoid Emirates. On the news this morning it said it would make flights faster, I assume there is some airflow interruption from the breaks in the fuselage , but the difference would be minimal.

QF2 departed London at 16.05 GMT on 28th . Delayed from its normal departure on 27th @ 21.15. Any ideas ? I do not know, sorry. I understand slots are a hot commodity at LHR, how do they manage a big delay like this? Pay a penalty? Trade with another airline? Handful in reserve held by the airport ...
