I just looked at the past several flight's and why is it that they haven't taken this bird above 20,000ft? At 20,000ft you are pressurized no? I understand being conservative but 66 plus hours into fligth testing and keeping it below 20k makes you wonder. Any insight would be great.

I'm not sure engine advancements are there yet to warrant this. The focus should be to get the MAX up and get the assembly line back at full song while working diligently on the NSA. They need to get 3 years of product out the doors prior to announcing the NSA or this was all an exercise in futility.

While that hit looked hard and maybe was survivable I wonder if they struck something off the runway. There is a grouping of trees and in that video the black smoke happens fairly quick after they impacted the runway. Bad deal all the way around.

Thats fantastic news! We vacation from DSM in Siesta Key and while TPA or PIE are fine the commute on some days can be 2hr drive. That coupled with a 7a departure means getting up at 4am with kids and shuttling them up to PIE to make Allegiants scheudle.
