AusBT now reporting that EK is temporarily changing its schedules between mid April through the end of May due to runway upgrades at DXB, so the PER-DXB change may only be temporary and the flight may not be on the chopping block completely.

I flew to Sydney last Saturday and I noticed about 2 or 3 Fokker 100s in the network livery, anyone have a rough idea when these will be repainted? After the second 737 has been repainted in the coming weeks (VH-VYD for those wondering) the first Fokker 100 is set to be repainted. It will be VH-NHP...

Weight Of Overhead Lockers?

Hi all. Does anyone know the rough weight of the overhead cabin lockers found in aircraft? Would older lockers weight more than today's lockers (e.g. comparing the lockers from a 737-200 to a 737MAX)? Asking because I might buy a locker from a 737-200 and trying to figure out if it is feasible to mo...

Uzbekistan Airways are known to do random charter flights when they have spare metal lying around. Every six months they fly a charter between TAS-KUL-CHC for Russian and Ukrainian fishing crews, so GUM-NGO could potentially be a fishing charter. Also, FlightAware isn't picking up Uzbekistan Airways...

Could someone please look up the registrations of the aircraft that operated:

QF94 LAX-MEL on 25/11/2008

They were my kids first long haul flights and I would love to get the registrations.

Well, it's written by a QF fanboy Geoffrey Thomas so despite airlines not being ranked in order, he gives QF the top award. It keeps his FF miles topped up nicely. Apparently not killing passengers is how you base an airline's safety record! Isn't keeping passengers alive the very bare bones of saf...

BA should of been in the LCC section after all the 'enhancements' they have been making of late. :D

In all seriousness though, most of the list make sense; in past years, some of the airlines included have been a bit questionable.

What about smaller airlines? For example NZ have 7x 77W, surely having a spare engine just sitting around would not be worth it in this case? Conversely, does this mean EK with over 100 77W would have 10-20 spare GE90 just sitting around or in overhaul? I suppose if they have power by the hour that...

It's a possibility but I think that Norwegian have bigger fish to fry before they set up an Asian hub. Out of the cities you stated I think BKK would be the most likely. VA is beginning to look a little bit like Ansett. VA shouldn't start flights to China/HK (with their own metal) even though they will have the feed from HNA.
