I can definitely see them trying ORD-BOS. ORD is the largest domestic market from BOS and DL seems committed to building its BOS hub/focus city. Edit: That schedule isn't accurate anymore. I see the last date for the 744 on DTW-NRT and DTW-PVG is Oct 29. Last on DTW-ICN is Dec 30. I'm sure once deliveries begin with the A350 the a/c type on the website will change, strong rumors are DTW-LAX and ATL will be used as "testing" market...

Its fairly standard contract language that a merger or other significant business change triggers an option for the other side to leave the deal without penalty.

The Delta press release, for its part, was equally about promoting its strength rather than discussing an ending relationship.
