I worked at Airborne Express at DFW during the late 1990's UPS strike and for sure the AFC/ABX teamsters would not cross any UPS picket line. We told all overseas offices and agents to make sure no cargo was sent on 5X MAWBs or else we could not retrieve it.

There are no -200ER and -300ER. Those are marketing by Boeing. The 767-200, 767-300, 767-300F and 767-400ER are official according to the FAA Type Certificate.

IAD was a CO hub before a UA hub. Presidential operated their BAe 146s under the "Continental Express" banner. Then CO dropped IAD in favor of concentrating on EWR and UA came in. I remember seeing XV BAe 146s in both CO and UA colors at DAB when I was at Riddle.

Same with the B777 - there is no B777-200ER, just a 777-200, -200LR, -300, -300ER and F. If you look at the plates inside the door of a -200 "ER", it says "777-2XX (Boeing Airline Code)"

It's funny (or sad), that PRC is not consistent even in their own ruling when it benefits them. For example, PRC forced ALL airlines to show HK, Macao and Taiwan as "subsidiaries" of China on their websites. But, during this COVID-19 pandemic, PRC reported "0" new infection cases...

I think more of this has to do with the current US-China trade war. Yes, the protests aren't helping but even before the protests kicked it up a notch, business people were seeing less need to come to Hong Kong and China due to lack of business opportunities due to the trade war.

Not to nitpick further, but to the FAA there is no such thing as a 777-200ER - it's a Boeing marketing term. Per the FAA type cert, all 777-200s are -200s. Even the serial number plate on the individual aircraft state "777-222" or "777-224" as applicable for UA or CO built birds.

Ok, Scoot B787-8 (9V-OJC) just flew over my house at night. I noticed the lower red beacon was steady and not flashing. This is not the first time I have seen this on a B787 (NH and RJ aircraft also come to mind). Is this an option for the pilots or some malfunction?
