Makes complete sense. If I were Boeing, I’d take the hit but tell them I’d want to see a one for one match of A350 cancellations before talking about anything with the 787. Course, EY can do whatever they feel they need to. Boeing can’t dictate anything like that. EY’s 787 order no doubt has cancel...Jump to post

Firming EK’s 787 order?Jump to post
Dear Airnutters, Just browsing through and i noticed that KE hasnt really made any widebody purchases of late. Does anyone know if they are planning on any? They still have four aging B747-400's that i am sure will need replacing. Four 777 classics built before 2000 that will need attention. Alot of...Jump to post

Exciting times ahead at KQ! I always thought that the E190’s were too small for them. 15 to 20 C series would replace those and their aging B737-700’s quite nicely. This, with their sub leased wide bodies being returned and KQ taking over the management of JKIA should help them compete more effecti...Jump to post

It looks as if Vistara of India will place a firm order for 6 787s and 4 options. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-06-02/boeing-is-said-to-win-order-from-singapore-air-s-india-affiliate?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=bd&utm_campaign=headline&cmpId=yhoo.headline&yptr=yahoo F...Jump to post
We are talking about AM. What does this have to do with the US3? Delta = AM The US3 are pure poison and anticompetitive , a lot of EU traffic to Mexico funnels via the nasty US3 . It's been five years since I last flew with SQ -- then on a 77W from MUC-SIN and this time on their A359 from MUC-SIN. I figured the A359 would replace members of the 777 family, but I was surprised to see that SQ has ordered 60 A359s, which is alone more 777s than it ever had in its fleet. Accordi...Jump to post
The Great Wall Sing-Song Cherry Blossom XP13-DQ7V-9, would be my guess. The Chinese have suck a knack for catchy names! The less American parts the better. Why do you say this? Hi a.nutters. The rather ambiguous article suggests that KQ will grow their intra Africa routes. It however doesn’t state when and how. Does this mean that the soon to be returned B77W’s will replace some B787’s on inter continental routes and the Dreamliners will take over some African routes like ...Jump to post
I believe the A321 will be the top Airbus. I think the -8 will be the top Boeing model only as the -9. It is seat size and economics. Lightsaber I fully agree with you. My long term assumption would be: 60% A321neo 40% A320Neo 65% B7M8 25% B7M10 10% mix of B7M9 and B7M7 I foresee many airlines who ...Jump to post

Gosh I wish we got this bird instead of their boring old livery A330’s in Nairobi! How is LH's new livery in any way, shape or form, not more boring? With so much white, it looks like a wet lease temporary re-paint. Very true. Well I suppose since the current scheme has been around for a year longe...Jump to post

8 this year was planned. So 4 more I guess. SCE-SCH I’m guessing. Gosh they really are ramping -10 production up fast! Singapore, United and Etihad are the 3 airlines due to have 787-10 this year. (Unless Etihad's plans change) A total of 16 787-10s this year. 8 x Singapore 4 x United 4 x Etihad I ...Jump to post

I feel that if an A322 did happen, it would be a simple stretch more aimed at providing capacity for short-haul operators than a true 'MoM' aircraft. Take the A321neoLR, add a few frames, and you have a nice cheap plane that carries around 275 in Wizz Air style torture chamber seating. You'd need t...Jump to post
No Takers for the ERX. Clearly states that the issue was not/is not range. Therefore is has to be capacity. The A321 LR can take 206 pax - in 2 classes.TATL or similar. In a similar configuration a dash8 (standard or ERX) it wold be circa 150-160 ish. One can therefore only assume that the overall b...Jump to post
Is the -9 underpowered? From what I understand, the -9 isn’t underpowered per se, but because of the low MLG height and longer fuselage, it cannot rotate quickly so has a long takeoff run. Increasing thrust would help get it up to takeoff speeds improving runway performance. I may be totally wrong,...Jump to post
The 737-8 itself is currently making some seriously long flights. GOL is using them to connect Miami (MIA) and Orlando (MCO) with Brasilia (BSB) and Fortaleza (FOR) with ORD-BSB approaching 3800nm. WestJet and Norwegian are also deploying the 737-8 on TATL missions of around 3000nm. As such, the ne...Jump to post
BA is one of those airlines that Boeing could force list prices on. I mean, they telegraph their intentions so clearly that there’s no competition to worry about. I assure you that if Airbus comes in with a significantly better bid than Boeing's, BA will order A330NEOs or whatever it is. The CEO is...Jump to post
I was just watching a youtube Video by Skyships Eng on the 737 MAX and came across the above named varient. Does anyone else know about this? I have not seen it in any Boeing press releases. Has this plane been officially launched? When will deliveries start and has anyone ordered it?

With ANA having only 3 -10’s on order is there any indication that they will need or take more? They have five options and I imagine they can swap 787-9s on order for 787-10s.
