Some people seem to forget that the 321 is by far the best selling plane in its segment. Airbus is in no dire need to produce something new. IMO they just look at different options to make it even better. They either go simple (XLR) or 322. It is very misleading to think that Airbus is only focusing...

Regarding the A350 he states: "We have ordered 59 of them". He also states: "We are rather forced to order more planes in the future. (He did not state any type). We have an Intercontinental fleet of almost 200."

Airbus has withdrawn the airworthiness certificate for the Caravelle. IF there would be a good example left (I think there is none) it could be operated with a permit to fly but that is very unlikely.

Wouldn't this negate the a350-900 except for the longest or most cargo heavy routes? If this actually has more range than the 77E, then TPAC from the East coast shouldn't be an issue (UA already flies EWR-HKG with a 77E). Airbus is cutting its own lunch making a cheaper product so close to the payl...
