Provided electrical and hydraulic power when the engines no longer were. I'm no expert but I think that allowed the FBW systems to stay active and avoid reverting to direct/reduced law.

I saw all of them live in Birmingham a few years ago, was an incredible show. They still had so much energy and sounded great.

It's incredible how many accidents/incidents are caught on camera these days. Even a 737 suddenly nose diving in the middle of China just happens to be caught on at least two cameras.
