Re: New Zealand Aviation Thread - March 2019

For that reason I don't believe the A350 was a serious contender. The 350 was a shoe in, until the RR issues. Don't rule it out, as the 350 could have, with the -900 and -1000, replaced the 777-200 & 300ER and given you the same fleet simplification. Don't forget that whilst the -200ER is being...

Just curious where you lifted this quote from? From the stuff link in post #186. Quite clearly indicates there will be no major revision of the J product. In the investor call they said revisions for now, but the major revision is planned to be released when the 772 replacement is delivered. Cool, ...

Re: New Zealand Aviation Thread - March 2019

This 787 vs. others talk is really good, but surely, (and not a big deal) RR is gone and GEnx must be the choice for a 787 order. (140 vs. 330 ETOPS) The popular choice here, A350, would therefore be an even bigger win for RR. (Question....should I buy or sell RR shares?) Tricky, isn't it. You are ...

Re: New Zealand Aviation Thread - October 2018

Well the aircraft left Auckland about 40 min late and had a very quick flight to Melbourne which implies a lack of tailwind or even head wind on your flight from Melbourne, hence the most likely reason you flight was longer than normal. It happens.

Not that I know for sure, but my educated guess at the chances of any order for 350/777 at Singapore is precisely 0. They haven't even entered an RFP yet. Maybe a top up of 320/787 but in the low single digits, and most likely not announced at the show.

Crew to fly 320/321/CEO/NEO concurrently. Conceivably you could fly both the 321/320 or NEO/CEO on the same day but generally the duties don't enable this. Training is a day in the classroom. HUD is not a prerequisite to ZQN night ops. To operate night through ZQN you have to lodge an Operator Safety Case with CAA. Just a quick note regarding the NEO 320/321 mix. The last I heard is that at least 2/3rds of the aircraft will be 321s.
Regarding 787s internal docs have shown for over a year that the last three deliveries would have a higher premium seat count.
