Re: SAS grounding planes - reason?!

According to Swedish news media, it is the A320 Neo frames that are grounded. It may affect the A320 range or only the exact A320, not 100% clear from the news. In Swedish, no paywall: https://www.svt.se/nyheter/inrikes/sas-staller-in-18-flyg From SAS: https://www.sasgroup.net/newsroom/press-release...

Re: Very close call in Johannesburg

The 747 taxied, sure, but so many things could still go wrong. It seems they were some 250 meters apart when the SAA A320 crossed the runway, not a lot when a 747 is charging at you, be it at 20, 29 or more knots. A runway is a runway, even if it is not at that moment in time used for takeoff or lan...

Re: Nordic Aviation - 2024

KL1179 had to go around on Thursday January 11th when on final approach to Linköping, due to proximity to a military aircraft (a Gripen). It seems to have happened 12:00 local time at about 1600 ft alt and about 5-6 km from touchdown. Aircraft was PH-EXT, an E195. After what seems to be a normal GA,...
