Re: ICAO Annexes for Aircraft Automation in Certification

Well, yes ICAO doesn't have any regulations as you described. I referred to to the CS-25 of EASA and it doesn't say anything much about the regulations (or soft laws) on automation of aircraft systems. But I find some info in the FAA CFR 14. 25 about some regulations governing automation. Is there a...

Aircraft mechanic vs Aircraft maintenance planner

Hello guys,
If some got a chance to join an airline as an aircraft mechanic or aircraft maintenance planeer what will be the beat to choose? Any pros and cons in two careers. Salary will be same for both during first few years. Any kind of comments are highly appreciated.

You are correct Starlionblue! As A350 is not fitted with Trim tanks so it deploys flap to maintain the Center of Gravity within the limits. I think it is some thing like Aileron droop that happens during the flap extension and this small droop is not indicated in the displays. IIRC aileron droop du...

The APU is fed from the trim tank if there is fuel in it by using the aft APU fuel pump, and from the wing tanks otherwise using the forward APU fuel pump.
