Re: Jetblue A320 refurbish thread

Tail 591JB has gone in for the Phase 2 refit. Ferried FLL-SAL 05/03. Seems that Phase 1 is officially wrapping up with the rest of the 320s getting Phase 2! Thanks for your hard work and for sharing the fleet progress. Had the opportunity to fly on one of the updated tails and it was very refreshing!

Re: B6 Situation

woops I said "I" instead of "you", corrected the post. So.... YOU think one of the three main perpetrators are employees from OTHER airlines? (implying I strongly disagree) Of course it is. How is that even something you could disagree with?? Some of these threads may be started...

Re: B6 Situation

People on this forum are legitimately hoping for the demise of JetBlue, it's a sad reality but the truth nonetheless. Go check any B6 related thread and you will see posts from the same cast of characters eagerly awaiting the JetBlue casket being lowered into the ground. The airline just celebrated ...

Re: Jet Blue Praises Cop Killer

The idea that JetBlue is celebrating someone who murdered a law enforcement official is ridiculous, this was a crew member who brought a poster to work. I'm not sure of the intent of the crew member or if he/she fully researched Assata Shakur. This crime happened in the early 70's so I can see where...

Is B6 using Terminal 4 G-gates at FLL? Noticed a future flight I'm taking arrived at a G-gate this morning.

All B6 international arrivals use gates G1 & G2 on Terminal 4, with the exception of CUN and all Cuba flights which arrive in Terminal 1.

Re: JetBlue and Spirit at FLL

Both Spirit and JetBlue have been affected operationally by the construction on the new Concourse G. The Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) has done a great job of assisting both carriers with securing space to operate their flights. B6 will take four gates in the completed Concourse G and pr...

Re: Updated - Southwest pulls out of Mexico City

I think WN would do well in markets like STT, CTG, SXM, FPO and CUR. Obviously these routes would be prioritized from their FLL focus city. They have a very successful business model and like my company JetBlue, they can't be everything to everyone. Why not MCO? I think Orlando is ripe for Southwes...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread 2018

FLL-GYE is now scheduled in http://otp.investis.com/clients/us/jetblue_airways/usn/usnews-story.aspx?cid=981&newsid=57418 Interesting that they can use T1 for international arrivals also. Yes B6 has priority on gate A6 while CM/UP use A7 in Terminal 1. Currently all Cuba and Cancun arrivals are...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread 2018

They get three or four more gates at LAX and you can kiss LGB goodbye. They recently insourced ramp work at LAX and would have no problem convincing LGB crew members to hightail it up the street to support the LAX ops.

Re: JetBlue Network Thread 2018

The flights from FLL to BWI, PIT and DTW perform decently but are primarily targeted for connections. I think another issue is the late departure times from Fort Lauderdale required crews to overnight in those cities adding more cost. I would expect those cities, including some other current Bluecit...

Re: B6 A321neoLR South America

If they go down the LR path (and they most likely will) chances are Europe will be the first market to see them. But, like you said, they have 85 neos on order, so Latin America is the next logical step (and tbh they can't really go anywhere else). I wish they would open more LGB routes with the LR...

Great to see B6 finally added a third frequency on FLL-LAX (Jan. 17, 2019). Definitely needed an early morning departure on this route.

Re: All FLL / Fort Lauderdale Terminals To Be Linked With Post-Security Passageways

B6 uses gate A6 in terminal one for Cancun and all other Cuba arrivals. The G concourse handles all other Int'l arrivals as well as some departures for B6. A post security connector between the terminals would provide access to the underused DL gates in terminal two. I'm sure BCAD could move G4 and ...

Re: EK reducing, not adding in U.S.?

Was it dated last year? EK did reduce MCO, FLL, etc but everything is back to at least daily now. The second dailies to BOS/SEA/LAX are not back however. This one is correct. I believed that they will just changed the aircraft? Perhaps they are preparing to change equipment on some routes, as we sp...

Compared to Miami's peer cities it is small. Asians account for 3% of the Miami metro area (5.7 million) that equates to 167,000. According to this linkhttps://suburbanstats.org/race/florida/how-many-asian-people-live-in-florida there is a total of 446,000 Asians in the state of Florida and the tra...

Re: Emirates Launches FLL

EK214 took off at 8:58PM en route FLL-DXB. Anyone have video of what a max thrust 77L takeoff from a 9000ft runway looks like? :stirthepot: I would like to see this as well and see how close to the end of the runway they rotate. Anecdotally, when I flew CO from IAH-NRT on the 77E, we used Runway 15...
