Re: Airbus A350 Production / Deliveries - 2024

There was in thread, which I can unfortunately no longer find, discussing about ramping up the A350 production beyond the planed 10 frames per month. Since then I‘m asking myself what capacity the overall A350 production line has in theory or was planned for. In some articles about different produc...

Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

CI said AKL was difficult from an aircraft utilisation perspective, they park in SYD/MEL for the day to fly overnight both ways don’t they? I think this is one of those situations where we may have over-analysed a comment by an airline. Sure, it isn’t possible to achieve high utilisation and run ov...

There's been a bit of chat about OKV and schedules. I can't share too much but it's won't be used on traditional 77W routes. There's a fast growing route which will see it for a period this year. Interesting - DPS perhaps, given how upbeat the airline was about it in the half year results and how i...

Currently Ci flies the A359 and BR flies the 77W. YVR-MNL is flown by PR 77W. Not sure if AC has widebody metals for both routes. Both probably require a minimum of B788 or B789 for the routes. The capacity issue with SFO isn't domestic, it's international. As it stands, G is not enough to handle current and future UA service and the service from its JV partners. With that rise in international traffic comes transit traffic, which is not going to be affected by O&D. SFO is simply the ...

3-4-3 747 typically has 17.2" seatwidth - similar to 3-3-3 787. 3-4-3 777 typically has 17.0" seatwidth, so the difference is just marginal. The real difference is in aisle width (and for 747 it is overly abundant), but you spend most of the flight seated, not walking through the aisles. ...

Projected: 3 A332F, 10 A333, 20 A339, 7 A359 = 40 a/c

Is this the plan?

Seems to me, if the ultimate plan is to replace the A333, then a further order / options would be required.
