Delta Air Lines not Delta Dog Sitting. Delta has a system that allows you to bring your pet on the plane and I’m sure that system works fine so long as you don’t throw a spanner in the works by getting yourself deported. Common sense tells us travelling with a dog on an invalid visa is setting yours...

Stepping off a 777 and connecting to an a320 flight will be similar to connecting SQ to MI - in real terms it’s probably acceptable to most passengers, but still a perceived downgrade.

I agree with hOMSar. I think the audio track may have selectively picked up some of the full spectrum of sound from that takeoff and landing. The fact that he was seated towards the back of the cabin near a toilet block and galley may have contributed.

Silk Air worked well on it’s own as a full service regional airline for SE Asia. One massive market unlikely to be affected by high speed rail is MEL-SYD as well as other capital city connections within Australia. Although there are plans to connect east coast cities via HSR, VA and QF will continue to carry the bulk of non-car travellers for a great many years to come.

I flew REP-PNH in January and it was a 2016 built a320 with standard recaro seats. Only 20 people on the early morning flight. For such a short flight it’s hardly worth spending more than the minimum available fare unless you’re keen to fly a type you haven’t flown before.

SQ’s A330s are all leased, and they were only ever meant as a stop-gap measure. The 787 was originally intended to replace the 772s, and as the 787 was delayed their strategy changed so that the 787-8/9 went to Scoot and SQ laboured on with 772s until A350s and 797-10s came online to replace both th...

I find the 777 is best before and behind the wing. Over the wind there’s a fairly high pitched whining hydraulic noise that drives you mental unless you can mentally block it out. Having said that, the A330 is almost boringly quiet in the sense that takeoff is almost a non-event, which as an a geek ...
