Re: UK-based airlines told to move to Europe after Brexit or lose major routes

Saddest part for all though is that the low cost carriers will now have to pay airports in UK and abroad for the cost of immigration and border controls, thus adding to the price of tickets. Also, this may affect turnaround times, since it takes considerably more time to screen 180 passengers per p...

Re: World’s first commercial flying car is now on sale

The concept of a flying car must be one of the daftest ever to be proposed... A minor ding in a supermarket car park, or a nudge at the lights, and its going to have to go in for a licensed airframe engineer to check it out to make sure its still airworthy (yes, that's what happens with airplanes wh...

Nothing really significant to see here - just BA looking to use aircraft that would otherwise sit at LCY Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. As long as the airline can cover the cost of any positioning flights and the DOCs for the routes, its better than having the aircraft at LCY accumulating pa...

I wouldn't call Opa Locka "filled up" with them - well, not operational ones anyway. There are maybe four or five airworthy Convairs and a couple of DC-3s (no DC-4s or -6s) that regularly run out of OPF into the Bahamas or the Caribbean, but hardly to a predictable schedule. If they go, th...

Over the 10 year term that's a total of $205.2m. OK, on the face of it $7.2m is a very low return on investment over the who...
