In the 737MAX production thread there’s a picture of winglets that very much match the “Honor Those Who Serve” planes. Which MAX (8,9, or both?) will be painted into this livery? Re: Alaska Airlines Fleet, Network and News Discussion - 2023

As much as I would love to see a handful of Max 7's at AS, I just see a need for them. SNA can handle a Max 8 easily. I guess if AS really wanted to fly to more hot and high airports like JAC without restrictions, then they probably should consider some Max 7's. I think their orders and options all...

I wonder if ANC-BOS_ANC might work for AS as a summer seasonal 3 or 4 weekly. Operate mid june to early september. Q3 PDEW last year on ANC-BOS was 95. Tough to fill up a 737, even with connections. If it's flown on a Saturday-only basis (like ANC-DEN/MSP/SLC) it might perform well. But then again,...

The challenge is winter westbound. Aerolineas Argentinas is flying EZE-PUJ with a -8, which is 3,728mi*. Copa is flying PTY-SFO with a -9, which is 3,320mi. My guess is Copa takes a payload hit in the winter to SFO. Based on those distances. SEA-MBJ is 3,194. SEA-PUJ is 3,614mi. Given the headwinds...
