How much can an airline benefit from using one frame as a scrap pool? There are only so much of each thing: 2 inboard flaps, 1 tail jackscrew, etc

Years ago, WN brought up the topic. They said that SD, ND, WY, MT all represented at or below 1% of all air traffic in the US, and that they were ok to give up that 1% to focus on bigger things. That was around 2005.

I heard that there's an ETOPS rule stating that engines must have 90 minutes to cool down after an ETOPS flight. Is this true? If so, would that affect an interisland tag (OAK-HNL-KOA-OAK)?

Looks like PAL will soon be starting MNL-YVR-ORD 4x a week and MNL-YVR-IAH 3x a week, all on 77Ws. JFK will be nonstop on the A359 in the beginning of summer 2018 and SEA to be added in 4Q 2018.
