I think AI's only true hub is DEL. BOM is just a focus city that happens to have a lot of domestic flights. ATQ serves more destinations in Europe for AI than BOM. There are no banks, just random flights throughout the day. BLR will just be a mini-version of a BOM. True hubs are DEL, DXB, ATL, etc....

HKG didn’t work. IMO, just because it didn't work in the past, doesn't mean it won't in the future - times change - I could see them going back on the route with a 339. Even if the A339 has the legs, I think the circumstances are worse now. The importance of HKG to western markets is diminished now...

Looks like DL is cutting JFK-GVA and ATL-STR. If true, not entirely surprising. There is plenty of capacity on NYC-GVA with LX and UA and that's likely enough for the market. ATL-STR presumably existed more for the auto industry than anything else. I think we need to be careful when we say cutting....
