Re: Alaska / Hawaiian Air Merger Discussion

I absolutely cannot imagine AS trying to compete on TATL out of SEA unless either (1) it is as part of a JV or (2) it is to currently unserved vacation-heavy markets. They will get beaten to a pulp if they try to go head-on against the three carriers already flying SEA-LHR or the SkyTeam fortress r...

With HA adding HNL-SLC i'm wondering if DL will add a flight or two or just let HA lose $$ on another route. They already added a second daily flight for the winter, running from 11/6-3/29. https://kutv.com/news/local/delta-airlines-adds-new-daily-nonstop-route-from-salt-lake-city-internationa-airp...

Re: Alaska / Hawaiian Air Merger Discussion

I’ll believe that when I see it. Agreed. In fact, I think AS will redeploy most of the Hawaiian wide bodies to be based out of AS and perhaps out of some West Coast hub and grow out of that/those hubs and maybe even attempt some Europe routes perhaps? Do people really think AS is going to start fly...

Re: Philippine to launch Manila to Seattle

Eva, China Airlines and Starlux will be hurt by this move. The high capacity Philippine 777s will reduce the number of passengers connecting in TPE. TPE is a main connecting point for people flying from the US to the Philippines. I don't think this move will affect JX too much (they just pulled out...
