Wow. A single failure could cause an explosion in the fuel tank of a modern aircraft? Scary. There is an AD for this type directly addressing fuel tank maintenance https://ad.easa.europa.eu/blob/easa_ad_2007_0265.pdf/AD_2007-0265_2 I think it should be noted though, that the AD specifically exclude...

Re: SWISS cabin crew in trouble for taking selfies on a 777 wing

What is the concern? Is it damaging to the aircraft? High heels would likely create indents on the top of the wing, potentially disrupting airflow over the wing, reducing lift, and ultimately risking the lives of 300+ pax as the 777-300ER fails to gain altitude and ending in a horrific ball of fire...

The British Airways 777 fire at KLAS looked much worse and that aircraft was still repaired. The BA 777 was newer back then and the decision wether to repair it or not was a very tight one. When you're in the seat, there's more room on ERJs than mainline LCC carriers that fly much longer routes, especially in the single row seat. I think people just look at the aircraft and assume it's uncomfortable because it's small, even though the actual seating size and legroom is the same or more...

It probably wasn't that tough to find them. Not to mention, when entering a new country, customs and immigration doesn't typ...
