I'm not sure how accurate this data is when accounting for regionals. Also, listing the airlines by number of states is kind of painful to look at. I think even if CO was still around, it'd still be outdated compared to what AA and DL have today. It's not terrible, but it lacks a certain freshness.

I haven't flown AI and I've heard some horror stories, but I am excited by all expansion they've done in the US. It'll still be a while before I'd consider flying them but I hope it works out.

UA has occasionally scheduled the the 77W from ORD. I've definitely seen it to BRU and SFO. I'm sure there are other one-offs as well.

Would be nice to see them regularly scheduled though.

IAH and DFW get some pretty nasty thunderstorms in the Spring and Summer. I've learned to avoid routing through these hubs during this time of the year. ORD and ATL get their share of thunderstorms too, but things don't hit the fan as hard as they do in Texas.

I don't think JetBlue or Virgin ever had a chance being a largely domestic only airline. But given that AA is larger than DL at LAX and SFO, I can't say its too surprising.

Kirby/UA acknowledges that they may have lost these contracts for good, which is unsurprising. Regardless if UA ever returns to JFK in the near future, it's good to hear them admit it was a mistake.

Agree with those who said they'll probably keep them. Not sure how overlap there is in accommodating the -300 and -400, but UA and DL have shown to keep their planes for a long time, and I think they have plenty newer -300 models as well.
