Boeing will eventually get the MAX10 certified and I’m sure it’ll be a good plane. It just sounds like it won’t be a 2024 thing, and that United should change plans for the next 1-2 years. I don’t see WN moving away from their point to point network in any meaningful way. I think a big appeal to a lot of the people who fly WN is being able to fly nonstop between medium size cities.

The ex-MU A319s are very nice, the interior definitely feels a lot more fresh/new than the other A32X in the fleet. Looked just like any other plane in the United fleet as far as I could tell.

That would make no show rates sky-rocket (IMHO). They think there is an overbooking problem now? Airlines would be forced to raise fares considerably. How to they plan schedules and demand? So just looking at the engines, the A321NEO should do much better on missions significantly longer (TCON). For a large operator, it makes sense to split the fleet between different vendors. But I wouldn't be mad if they instead doubled down on their A321 order.

If the operating cost is actually lower than the A321neo, I could see these MAX10s on longer 2.5+ hour routes (and not Florida).

I think DL has been quite happy with the A321. And as a customer, I like them as well. When they've been flying them on routes like GRR/DTW, you know they'll be able to find a place for them anywhere. I think the 737MAX at DL is very unlikely.

While KLM isn't wrong, its weird that they're publicly taking this position. I hope they don't start flying around with lower load factors, because thats not going to help the environment.

If they're serious about it, they should just cancel routes that they deem are too short to fly.

There are probably regulations that airlines have to follow for marking doors, emergency windows, registration, etc but as long as they meet them, I doubt the specific livery matters that much. Just a guess.
