Major datacenters usually test their emergency preparedness procedures annually. I know we did. We actually took all the backup materials to a separate contracted site and brought up all of our systems and did a days work, just to make sure it works. I wonder how close to that Southwest came?

I think the price was reasonable for what you received. I wish airlines in the US would consider this type of service on their longer domestic routes. More people would participate. The problem here is what is served even with BOB is stale and tasteless.

I saw a blurb on the TV news about this. A witness on the aircraft stated that most people were not wearing their seatbelts and that the turbulence hit without warning. This area where it happened is not unknown for severe turbulence either.

We have a Miele S314 that is for dog and cat hair. We've had it for 12 years and it still runs like new. With 4 dogs in the house it really does a good job.

Those facilities are quite nice. Privacy cubicles and play areas for the kids. The refugees should be happy with this. If this were in the US, they'd get a mat or cot on the floor and that's about it. Did the government of Germany pay for all this, or was money donated by various charities?
