I have seen on FR24 that KL flights to JNB/CPT are operating through RUN. Only reason that comes to mind is they are consolidating AF ORY-RUN and KL AMS-JNB/CPT but it makes little sense to me The primary reason seems to be crew rest reasons. They don't stay in South Africa anymore. They fly to RUN...

It’s a bit sad to see CDG-JNB go from 14 weekly flights (1*a380,1*b777) parking for nearly ten hours at JNB to the only European flight to leave JNB in the morning with a single daily flight. If I remember correctly, the last time AF was twice daily to JNB was before they put the A380 on the route....

I doubt they'll do triangular, tag-on more likely where they might even get 5th freedom rights on. Perhaps a return to Comoros, like DXB-HAH-TNR, or otherwise also enter Maputo market, DXB-TNR-MPM...maybe even if they want to have a permanent 2nd daily service to Durban, DXB-TNR-DUR.

Yes...I flew an Ethiopian Max JNB-ADD 3 days before the crash. Not the one that crashed though, think it was ET-AVK.
Was then supposed to be Max again on return leg, but obviously got changed to NG

Was ET not suppose to start Livingstone (LVI) flights mid-June, think I read about this being opposite triangular as ADD-GBE-LVI-ADD, while the VFA routing remain ADD-VFA-GBE-ADD.

Also read somewhere that ET plans to start ADD-BEW (Beira, Mozambique) soon, but nothing confirmed.
