Supposedly , and this is only a rumor, but someone said that Delta wanted at least 6 of the 8-9 new gates being built. It's hard to believe and I think it probably was something botched from someone saying they wanted to fly out of 6 of the new gates, so perhaps they'd be CUTE and not used exclusiv...

The reality is that AUS and SAT serve much of the same population. Many will drive to the other for a better deal. You can also see a line for the E190/195. I want to say at some gates in DTW you can still find a line for the DC-9.

Just a thought, did DL ever consider beating AA to the punch on DFW-AMS? KL dropped it for a reason. Before the AA service began. It would be very surprising to see DL try it. DL has a history of doing P2P flights from the US to AMS. PDX is one, and SEA and BOS were started before they became focus...

It's really not needed because so few passengers connect between airlines at JFK. The only terminals which really need to be connected for online transfers are T2 & T4, and DL offers the JFK Jitney service for that. And for international-to-domestic connections, there's no need for the terminal...
