I was pretty disappointed on my recent MEL-SYD flight in economy on Qantas that they don't even serve hot drinks as the flight is "too short". So it was water/juice and a muffin. You probably just had lazy crew. Tea and coffee is a service standard on QF flights regardless of flight time....

Which one? AFAIK anything VH-Y** was delivered with BSI. Anything VH-V** and VH-BZG are all non BSI aircraft.
