I'm a regular on this route and the loads have always been horrific. It's not unusual for Y and J to be 20-30% full. F is hit or miss and 100% mileage redemption.

AC/RV is flying YVR-DUB and YVR-LGW with no barely any feed on both ends and you guys are shooting down YVR-GRU?

I'd imagine YVR-SCL-GRU-YVR working extremely well. Students, mining traffic, some business traffic, tourists. Even summer snowboarders!

I wonder what partner airline hub there is on the west coast that connects many Emirates fliers since they can't really feed the MXP side? HMMMMMM

LAX-MXP and SFO-MXP might not work since it would be completely seasonal. EK probably learnt their lesson from EWR-ATH.

Actually, an F fare is not available because they are all sold out. The Diamond Medallion Facebook group is having a meetup for this special flight and booked out the entire cabin. :)

It is not a special retirement flight for employees.

Just look at Philippine Airlines across the world. They uniquely have a combination of: terrible airport slots, extensive long-haul and ultra-long-haul routes, predominantly low-value traffic. No. Usually for any buyers' remorse it's the opposite for twin engine widebodies: for example VA with their 77Ws. They would have done much better only with 330s or smaller planes.

AA flight 71 first announced a diversion to Bangor, Maine, but ended up diverting to Boston.

Then they had to change cockpit crews, and flew to Chicago-O'Hare instead. Then they flew to Dallas.

My biggest gripe with SEA is the lack of support for international flights. I know they are currently renovating and fixing the whole customs/immigration hall and modernizing everything. There is a ton of domestic traffic at SEA, and it's a busy airport, but the international connections pale to YVR...

It's not. And the Airtrain at EWR breaks down very often: it's really pathetic.

And from JFK, you also have multiple public transportation options, whereas EWR, you basically only have one if you want to get to Manhattan.
