I dont say they are a great airline but they are also not a bad one. If you would have asked me, no doubt I would have chosen B6 or VX as the best NA airline.Jump to post
Suffice to say that folks aren't too tempted these days to fly EK, fearing that their laptops and iPads will be rattling about in the hold. Flew EK201 (DXB-JFK) recently, my laptop was packed very well, only concern I had was when they were handing devices back out it was absolute chaos. But all we...Jump to post

With almost half the Uruguayan population of Italian origin, the only other gateway to Europe I could see is FCO. Maybe a 3xw FCO-MVD by AZ could work just fine. Well, more than 60% of the population of Argentina is Italian which is a market that is alot bigger than Uruguay and yet FCO-EZE is not a...Jump to post
I think CDT can also be counted as one.Jump to post
EWR is very important to UA and it serves as a major O&D station. But as others have said, Its not going to be a mega hub. I think the only place that can serve as a mega hub is IAH but thats probably not going to happen, at least not in the scale of DFW or ATL.Jump to post
This is a great improvement for El Al and has the potential to put them back on the grid as an ME3 competitor. As long as El Al continues to observe the not flying on the Shabbat policy, it'll be hard for El Al to become truly competitive on a global scale, especially with the ME3. Particularly for...Jump to post
With that freed up A380, where is it going to fly?Jump to post
It looks real nice and cosy! Its about time they will change their Business Class layout in the widebodies, plus the E+ looks real nice. I do wonder if the new seats on the 787s will have an AVOD, because the other widebodies in LY's fleet dont have AVOD which sucks.Jump to post

I'd need to hunt out my photos, but I recall seeing a pod under the Arkia 757 I was boarding, a similar style to what you would find on some government aircraft. Does Ayit Aviation still fly their one Shorts 360? Its believed to be the last operating passenger model, and we flew it last year on wha...Jump to post
I was just watching the number of airlines adding flights to Cyprus and I was totally shocked! 9 airlines will be serving TLV-LCA/PFO this year! I wonder if the market is really that big to support 9 airlines, or is it saturated. Plus I guess that the yields are really trashy.Jump to post

Its a shame AA dropped LGA-MCI. It seems like DL has become the undisputed ruler of LGA and JFK!Jump to post
RUN-MRU is a very short flight( 231 km) and MK and UU use many widebodies on that route.Jump to post
Considering the O&D market in MIA, and the AA-LY Partnership (which has only grown stronger since PHL-TLV died), I'm not surprised. I'd expect to potentially see codeshares on AA into South America, especially if LY expects to fill a 772. Codeshares aren't needed to South America to fill a 777 ...Jump to post
Wow I didnt know IST cant handle the A380. I guess if it could, maybe EK would have flown the A380 over there.Jump to post
As others said, almost all of the TLV-IST/SAW traffic is connecting traffic. LY's traffic is almost all O&D, and unfortunately the traffic from Israel to Turkey is way lower than what it used to be in the 90s and the early 2000s, thanks to Erdoğan. :sarcastic: Maybe you missed post #5 and the l...Jump to post
The most obvious guess would be JAL starting NRT-MIA, which is also one of the shortest Far East routes from MIA and it has a JV with AA. But as others have said, JAL dosent seem to start it anytime soon unfortunately.Jump to post
This would have been funny if it was on Wizz airJump to post
I flew YUL-GVA on AC last April. For comparison purposes the flight was quite full (around 75%) considering that it was a low demand month. There were a lot of connecting passengers to Beirut. My impression of GVA is that it's a decent mid-sized airport-not too crowded, efficient enough although a ...Jump to post

Im happy that its nonstop now, although its just once a week, hope this will stick around.Jump to post
They would probably drop it, as sad as it sounds. I dont think DL has much to look for in NRT right now, IMO they will close this mini hub.Jump to post
I imagine JFK (DL) and EWR (UA) would be up there as well. Its way easier to connect in Europe, I dont know many people who connect in EWR/JFK/BOS. And about the biggest transfer markets between TLV and MIA, add MAD and FCO to your list :) . Lots of connecting traffic from South FL (PBI/FLL/MIA) th...Jump to post
As always, thank you enilria. I just love these pissing matches between UA and AS/VX, DL and AS/VX and DL and B6, grab your popcorns and enjoy!Jump to post
First of all they have to add BCN!
Then BOS,SFO,ICN and maybe a seasonal YVR or MEX.
