Amazon Air (operated by SY) is doing inbound from ONT, outbound to CVG and both directions to/from AFW.

Apparently Ed announced in an internal memo today that Delta is unlikely to add many more flights post-August, especially given the recent spike in cases.. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/delta-says-unlikely-add-many-142138861.html Sounds like the EU to proposing a ban on US Citizens due to the spik...

Is this a tag?
I wonder if it would be a shorter list if it only listed what is still flying?
Jump to postIf we're talking about pre-COVID destinations, I don't believe that's correct. UA at ORD served a ton of destinations, including many smaller/EAS destinations like SLN, CGI, CMX, EAU, DEC, MKG, PAH, CKB, LWB, SHD, and OGS. Nonetheless, I agree with the overall point that MSP and DTW will both be hu...
Jump to postMain hubs for AA, DL, and UA are not going away. They may be seriously cutback for the time being, but once this crisis is passed us service will start to be restored.
Jump to postAC, AA and DL are the only airlines still flying transborder in April. This struck me as strange: DL MSP-YWG APR 4>0.0[4] DL MSP-YXE APR 1.8>1.0[1.8] YWG is more than 3x the size of YXE, yet YXE keeps a daily DL flight. Yes. I’m surprised by how many routes are being suspended. You’d think they’d c...
Jump to postI don’t think the airline industry was this messed up ever before. Even after 9/11 was nothing compare to this.
Jump to postI thought most of the international routes were suspended from all but a small handful of cities.
Jump to postDTW and MSP are not going away. Every airline hub will be trimmed back until things get back to normal. Domestic traveling will be challenging. Flying from the US to international destinations will be a nightmare. But in time everything will stabilize, it’ll just take a while.
Jump to postI can’t say for sure. But I don’t think any hubs are going to be eliminated. But if there are any struggling routes, those will be cut.
Jump to postA lot of the winter seasonal flights were going to be trimmed anyways, so those changes were expected.
Jump to postThey’re blaming the shutdown on the coronavirus. Imo they were having problems long before then.

If their banning US citizens from flying internationally they’ll need to ban airlines from flying international routes.

Jump to postI tend to agree.... I think itll ramp up faster than 9/11 only because its a virus not a terrorist threat. whats really gonna be the deciding factor is how fast the economy spools back up I’m curious to what will happen in the meanwhile domestically. Not anymore. President just announced that effective Monday all UK flights will also be part of the ban.
Does that make MSP-HND the only international long haul fight from MSP at the moment then?
CDC approves BOS and MIA, but rejected adding MSP. Presumably has to do with volume of international traffic. DL yesterday announced MSP-LHR would also cancel. I saw some rumors of MSP-DUB cancelling too, but I’m not sure. The MAC meeting Monday, via teleconference, should be interesting. January t...
