Crew Resource Management question

Can someone explain CRM to me; like how does it balance the captain's authority with more authority for the crew to challenge him/her? There sti ll has to be a leader.

Is the 737 MAX going to have longer range/more seats than the 900s? I m saying this because Southwest started out as s short haul airline but now has many 3-4 hour flights. Examples are Ft Lauderdale to Midway, MidwaY To San Diego.

Idea for jetways

I think a great idea for loading bridges aka jetways would be to have soft music playing. Music helps in sto res so why not jetways?

this accident led to crew resource e management. captain still final authority but was told to respect AND LISTEN TO HIS SUBORDINATES.
