Almost 3 weeks to repair. Must have been some damage? If its not a part/parts available "off the shelf" then it may have to be designed/fabricated/approved by Airbus before it can be installed. Does anyone know what actually happened? I imagine parts like doors/door frames/engine cowlings...

Aer Lingus has used a 757 on DUB-LGW today, it's currently climbing out of LGW as EI233 on its return to DUB. I thought it was a Flightradar24 mistake but a passenger on board has tweeted their surprise at the upgraded equipment. Slightly less seats than an A320 overall so not exactly a capacity up...

Wow, id imagine a fair amount of heat damage would be done under the nose, and with the direction the smoke went, the cockpit windows could of taken heat damage too. Good job

I've heard from a few sources that the A380 will not be visiting after all. Also Emirates has postponed 'some' 2017 A380 deliveries to 2018, which could be something to do with it???

I see what looks like scaffolding around the old control tower above the original terminal. Any idea what's happening there? Also what use are the old control towers these days or are they used in some way?

I think the real issue he is the consistent BA issues (3rd ground incident), there is no such issues with the 40+ other operators at the airport. So why is the same operator involved time after time?
