I understand the plan behind the shift from EWR to IAD but I have some questions. Does the mean these airports will no longer be connected non-stop to NYC? I can't imagine AA flies to any of them but what about DL and B6? Was there a lot of O&D to NYC? If so, will that be an issue? Or, was most...Jump to post

There is an actual article on Delta's website with a marketing video of amenities.

UA does their mods with HAECO at HKG. There's only so many aircraft that can be modded at the same time, with both the B763ERs and B772s being sent there. Obviously the B763ERs have been prioritized as the B772s are fully utilized during the summer. I believe that the Polaris product introduction w...Jump to post

LAX-TUL was there before I'm pretty sure. According to old threads on here they flew it for 2-3 years in the very early 2000s on an MD80. Seems like an aggressive plane for that route, but different times 18 years ago. Can't find any more recent reference than that on this board at least. G4 flies ...Jump to post
I do not think they look that bad and wonder about the various body types that they have to accomodate. I even like Lands End clothes. If I remember correctly they are owed by Sears so I wonder about the long term viability of the vendor. Sears spun off Lands' End a few years back, so no issues the...Jump to post

I honestly don't loathe them as much as some do (but I'm not tall..5'7") with the exception of the window placement. Love to look out so they're brutal on the neck for me. I believe compensateme is speaking of the new AVOD system to be rolled out in the CS100. I don't believe Delta has committed to it for ongoing 739 nor A321ceo deliveries. Later this year, DL will introduce a third generation PTV system that’s basically a commercial tablet utilizing streaming IFE. Based on comments here I thought that the DL 737-700's were getting the new monitor's and AVOD system. Delta recently started nonstop service from JFK to PDL (Ponta Delgada - Azores) utilizing the 757 with D1 service. The fight is just under 6 hours. D1 service but on a "regular" 757? I'm guessing ATL-JFK may see a 737-700 to reposition the aircraft for JFK-SNA? That's a lot of flight time for only having 10 in the fleet though. I wonder how this may affect TGU/EYW/MEX flights? Not to stray too far from the topic at hand, but we XNA nerds are stoked at the fact that AA is reinstating mainline service starting in July with A319s to DFW. The problem with both CVG-MEM/XNA was DL eliminating the possibility for one-day trips. No business route like this can survive with a schedule like this: 15:35-16:31 CVG-XNA 17:00-19:44 XNA-CVG This schedule turned what used to be 1-day trips between the two cities into 3 day trips.
