They were originally purchased by the Saudi Ministry of Finance (or at least that's what the Boeing Customer code indicates) which is the same owner as most of the recent 77Ws for SV. Alitalia almost managed to get the Boeing 77W in its fleet but with its latest problems the deal was dropped . The aircraft an ex-Air Austral F-ONOU was ferried to LDE for storage . 77W N2138U had a C1 today. 35U has not had a C1 as it's waiting on Polaris seats. And it's not unreasonable to think that, given the rapid fire succession of United's 77W deliveries, it isn't economical for Zodiac to ramp up production speed for merely 14 planes worth of seats, and then fire the people they hired to do that extra work scope. Yes Polaris seats can't be produced and shipped as fast as the airframes are (funny enough) so minor delays will occur . Remember the seats aren't being produced only for the 777-300ER so Boeing and United expected it

77W Interesting observation; N2136U, and possibly 37U, appear likely the next two deliveries while 34 and 35 have been sitting idol on the PAE flightline for weeks. Nothing in the rule book says customers have to take 'em in build order, but it seems an odd choice on UA's part. :confused: 34 and 35...
