Re: Los Angeles Basin (BUR/LAX/LGB/ONT/SBD/SNA) Aviation - 2024

T5 interior I believe may be closer to 35 years old. I was based at LAX through 1990, I saw a reference to a 5-year project that finished in 2015 and included “aesthetic improvements”. I assumed that included what you see as you walk through the terminal, but it probably makes sense that the genera...

On top of that OO just recently moved some 700 frames between DL and AA as an exchange. What would drive such an exchange? N416AN is just about to depart HNL for PHX as AA9789. FR24 shows it as returning to service tomorrow, so I assume the hard landing didn’t damage the aircraft as much as first thought. Was it a revenue flight or a ferry flight? That looks like a ferry flight number. I would agree with that, but I fo...

That's not surprising. My guess is that TYR-DFW, SPS-DFW, ABI-DFW, and GGG-DFW are high on the list as well. I know a few people that either fly to ABI from DFW and either drive a loop around West Texas and return, or open jaw with a MAF/LBB/AMA/ELP return (or the opposite, or some combination ther...

F should have been a clone of D with the FIS areas left un-built. Those could have been finished a few years later as demand will surely require. On one hand, frequency to ABI is 'nearly-free' revenue because they're probably flying a few planes back-and-forth between DFW anyway.
