Some folks didn't send me their numbers so far. As soon as I receive I create the group. I would also be interested in joining! Hi If it is possible i would like to join your whatsapp group? I noticed that the VX flight numbers changed back in the first week of September. Flight 1 changed to 1001, 340 changed to 1340, etc. Certainly sad to see the merger is already in full effect. Not looking forward to the elimination of the brand and product.Jump to post
I always feel like the lone man out who disagrees with everyone on this forum. I actually like the new branding, and flying them more and more over the years, their hub airports definitely seem like they were improved with new podiums, check in areas and electronic screens. Even their new uniforms l...Jump to post
I actually like the livery... I do agree that these ULCC spin off airline names are getting out of hand. Jump, Scoot, Joon, LEVEL, now Swoop. It's fun to say, but it sounds weird for an airline name. There is no airline named Jump. The LH Jump Project is just your standard LH A340-300s, operated by...Jump to post

Good for MSY to be getting that Redwood love. Being operated today by 286, better known as "legally high", and is one of the six ETOPS certified A320s they have. It's sad that with the Alaska acquisition, new route launches aren't as fun anymore. Even when they became the first A321neo ope...Jump to post
Yep. JetBlue 404 is Atlanta-Boston Not area code related but JetBlue also runs B6 500, from DAB to JFK in reference to the Daytona 500. They also run flight 1776 Boston-Philadelphia. Looks like United flight 500 is Indianapolis-San Francisco. American 500 is Phoenix-Indianapolis. United still has t...Jump to post
Wow, that's expensive. jetBlue capped prices at $99, and I scored my flight out yesterday for $51 on Spirit after buying the ticket the day before. But there's no doubt they'll fill that plane up, especially when considering the massive traffic to get out of FL.Jump to post
Maybe the future of aircraft liveries will be something like this: >> electro-luminescent display << https://youtu.be/lJzrya0y074 That's the coolest thing I've ever seen! It would be interesting to see a major airline use this tech and see how it resonates with consumers. It would definitely make t...Jump to post
I vote for Icelandair in MIA (or FLL). While not MIA exactly, I'd be shocked if Icelandair started service to Florida in anywhere bur FLL. They'd have competition from WOWAIR at MIA, and Imfeel like they're overall better suited for FLL. Icelandair does have a B6 codeshare going for it as well at F...Jump to post
Congrats on getting your first VX flight, you'll definitely love it. I would recommend sitting towards the back of the aircraft as there's always more overhead space there whenever I sit between rows 18-25. Virgin America does not board back to front like on jetBlue, they use zones like AA/DL/UA. Yo...Jump to post
As OslPhlWasChi said, the total number of seats went up by about a hundred or so, from the previous 1x daily AA A330, BA 772 & 788/9. Now operated by two AA A330 and one BA 744, I would think that the route is doing well. I often fly Spirit out of PHL, a gate over from BA and I always see their ...Jump to post
Take the Tri-Rail. That's fine most of the time. However if you arrive in MIA in the evening on a Saturday or Sunday you might have to wait up to three hours for a train. That happened to me recently when I arrived in MIA at 1800 on a Sunday. The Tri-Rail wasn't scheduled to leave MIA until after 2...Jump to post
If you're flying in, there's a monorail between MIA and the Intermodal Center where the tri rail service starts. You talking about MIA Mover? 'Cause technically, that's not a monorail. :box: I believe so, if that's the cool little train that takes you between the Intermodal Center and the airport. ...Jump to post
Hey everyone, thank you for your responses. It seems like we had another change in plans. We are now also flying from Vegas to Long Beach.
Any tips on which side to sit on when we land in LGB?
Thank you all for the great responses! I switched my seats back to the A/B/C side. Most videos on YouTube seem to show the strip seen on the right side of the airplane. I wonder why that is?
I'm looking forward to visiting Vegas, and visiting the Airplane Shop there!
Take the Tri-Rail. There are plenty of stations between Miami and Fort Lauderdale so one should be close to where you're originating. If you're flying in, there's a monorail between MIA and the Intermodal Center where the tri rail service starts. If you're in downtown Miami, you could take the Metro...Jump to post
Hi all! For my family trip, we're doing a two week adventure in California with a stop in Las Vegas next month. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it turns out renting a car in Vegas and returning it in LAX for the remainder of our trip is more cost efficient than picking it up in SFO. That being said...Jump to post
Very good report! I still think the 321 is one sexy looking beast! I will miss Virgin Americas paint jobs. I will be curious to see how Alaska paint looks on the 321 eventually. I didn't see any first class pics. Is first the same as on their smaller birds? My apologies for not including any First ...Jump to post

Excellent report Jeff - glad you were able to get on this inaugural flight! Thanks for letting me know when this service was starting so I could get in on it fairly early. Moe I'm glad I could help you out! I very much enjoyed reading your trip report, and I'm thrilled you were able to grab a seat ...Jump to post
Great report, thanks for sharing. It seems like the crew on the Virgin America flight were excellent - very kind of them to be so accommodating when it came to your interest in aviation. A great opportunity to fly on a Mad Dog before retirement too - it will be a sad day when they are no longer roa...Jump to post

Hello everyone and welcome to my trip report, Redwood Inaugural: Virgin America A321neo SFO-DCA! I would like ...Jump to post

Great TR! I joined you on the inaugural to SFO! I'm glad to see that First got a couple nice tweaks, especially the overhead monitor. I do still really like the safety video however.
I'm glad you enjoyed the ride just as much as I did (probably more so )
It is very different than any of the recent new safety videos. I actually like it a lot, the way they communicate the required safety information, especially when explaining the location of the emergency exits and the illuminated path lighting.
Well done to the Velocity team!
On my way to work every morning I pass a billboard next to the freeway that has an advertisement for Southwest Airlines. The WN advertisement has been there for quite some time so I am curious as to how WN and other airlines gauge the effectiveness of their billboards. In my case the billboard is a...Jump to post
Slight update; Thank you to everyone for the tips! I decided to not opt for the Comfort+ upgrade, I figured it'd be nice to sit by the engines on the MD-90. I will be purchasing a day pass at FLL, since you guys said I can use the same pass to access not only the FLL lounge but also the ATL lounges...Jump to post
Going back to the US and Florida, as you included MIA/FLL/PBI, you could say Orlando has a decent concentration of airports. You've got MCO/SFB/TPA/PIE all within about 90 minutes or so of each other. You could add JAX/DAB if you wanna be generous.Jump to post

Enjoy Colombia. I hear Cali is one of the largest cities there. I hear that some funky aircraft, like 727s and maybe even some DC-3s operate as cargo ships in that part of the world. I almost always use a paper boarding pass, but I can see the convenience of using a mobile boarding pass. One less paper to worry about in your bag, one less stop to make at the airport.
