Military aircraft book

Hai all, I'm thinking about a gift for a friend who is „more than enthusiast" about jet aircraft and specially the Fighting Falcon and the B1. Is there any military aircraft / fighter jets book you'd recommend? I gave a look on ama.. but found only biography or something similar but I'd like to...

Re: Lens upgrade

So..yesterday I tried the Sigma at the retail store near me and to be honest it's really unusable hand-held due to its weight. I think that the nikon is the best choice even with the crop factor of the D7100

Re: Lens upgrade

I use the Nikon 200-500 mm on both the D7100 and the D800. For me, it has been a gem of a lens. Super sharp and excellent contrast and clarity. I've owned and used it for 5+ years. Having lugged it around to various spotting locations around the US by air, it has been very durable as well. I only h...

Lens upgrade

Hi all, I’m thinking about an upgrade (from the 70-300) for my lens to be coupled with a D7100 and after some research, I’m stuck with these three: - Sigma 150-600 sport - Nikon 200-500 - Tamron 150-600 G2 I read and viewed tons of review and there are a lot of controversial opinions about them some...

Re: Editing with 'Affinity Photo' photo editing software.

Hi! I had the same „issue” as you with PS and recently swap to affinity. At the beginning it was a mess to be honest because the functions are different and the I had to change the workflow but after a little, it works for me. Basically I do not use the raw persona but only the main window. If you n...

Re: Soft image

Shooting at F4 and a shutter speed of 1/2000 is probably the culprit then. I hope so because I´ve given a quick look at some older images and are all with a minimum of F6 and a shutter speed of 1/1650 (never higher) due to the fact that the lens hasn´t the VR. It´s definitely time for a lens upgrad...

Re: Soft image

I need to give a look at the sequence but using the AF-C I think that the problem is not only for this one but for the entire sequence and the most important thing now is to find out the possible reasons because I´m sure that the focus were ok but it seems to be blurry even at my eyes on another scr...

Soft image

Hi all, I´m going to do a little more editing with this image because it seems to be soft overall but using "unsharp mask" for a second time it became, to be optimist, really horrible due to the amount of noise. Do you have some advices or "trick" to improve the overall quality a...

Hi, I´ve uploaded these shot but I don´t know if the crop of the Cityhopper could be accepted because to be honest it´s a little too tight and this is the final result. The 738 seems to be pretty good maybe with some bad compression but sincerly I don´t know how to recognise it  <img src="http:...

I would like to start out with saying thank you for your help with my previous photographs. What´s your opinion, is this acceptable? Personally I´m afraid because of the weather condition that day and the fog which seems to add noise <a href="http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/i1451594522....

Post Screening - Oversharpened

Hi, I got a rejection for oversharpened reason. What do you think? For sure this is not a big issue and it´s easy to deal with because could be easily solved with less sharpness (normally I use the value which can be found in the editing guide with the values 200, 2, 0) How do you find the right amo...

RE: Pre Screening - "Obstacle"

Thanks for the advice!

I noticed that it´s a little low when i placed a 50% horizontal guide.
I think that with a better center without compromize the EK, a little bit moe contrast and a downgrade for the sharpening it should be ok.
