AA was a dumpster fire when he took the helm and short of abandoning everything in DFW and moving HDQ to PHX, there was no chance of fixing any of the ingrained culture. Honestly I'm impressed he hung around this long. I'd have taken whatever money was on the table and bailed after a year or two.

This is the same airline that mixxed up A321 main tires with 777 nose tires (fun fact - they are interchangeable...sort of) and managed to fly a non-ETOPS A321 to Hawaii. Are you surprised?

If it can be done in today's industry, I'd put money on AA being the one to do it.

Snubbers are optional equipment on some fleets. The downside to not having them is the potential for additional noise and vibration until the tires stop spinning.

If you press the MCDU's up arrow three times, the left arrow once, and press down and right arrows simultaneously two times, you get a hidden menu to turn options on and off. Very convenient for adding more takeoff weight, range, etc.
