LH is not happy with Fraport, operator of FRA, hence they are nowadays focussing more on MUC. They based some A380s there and the new A350s. My guess is that KIX relys highly on connecting traffic so there isn´t much difference for pax but surely LH is eager to show Fraport that FRA is not so import...

Didn´t they also had the spoilers up and didn´t retract them while applying full thrust, thus resulting in worse than normal climb performance? As an aftermath, spoilers now automatically retract when giving max power.

LH mid-haul narrowbody business class

As most european airlines, LH uses Y seats as C seats with the middle seat blocked on their narrowbody fleet consisting of A32x planes. Airliners.net told me that this configuration is fine for intra-european flights up to 2 hours. But LH uses the same layout on routes much longer then 2 hours. F.e....

Kind of. They were operated by TUI and leased out to AB. Many people suggests that this deal was one of the nails in the coffin for AB as the rates were very high.

Are older ATRs equipped with GPWS and TCAS? Given that they use older transponders that can not be picked up by FR24 it seems possible to me that they may not be.

I think "real" LCCs like FR and U2 wouldn´t be interested in joining an alliance generally. The offer seems to be focused on in-house LCC spinoffs like EW or SQ´s Scoot.

Recently I read an article that AZ staff have priviliges that LH wants them to get rid of first before a possible takeover. One of those is that every staff based in Milan can live in Rome and AZ completly pays for the journey and if necessary a hotel room.

I saw a picture today of a B 767-300 in full EW colors taken in DUS, even a special livery. Registration is HB-JJF operated by Privatair I guess it is some sort of mid-term wet lease deal to cover some routes formerly operated by AB.

Well, it looks like that is going to change a bit soon with U2 taking over some of the AB operation out of TXL at least. I don´t know if they will try DUS too.
Also FR going to increase their presence at FRA next year.

Must be a Niki aircraft. They operated some A 320 with full AB livery. As Niki isn´t bankrupt they will continue to fly for some time till LH/EW integrates them into their network.
